OYE Scholar helps you find scholarships and write essays in your own voice. We collect only what we need to do that, we are upfront about the AI we use, and we never sell your data. Full stop.
1. Who we are
OYE Scholar is a product of OYE Creations LLC ("we", "us"). This policy covers oyescholar.com and the OYE Scholar essay tools. If you have questions, reach us through the chat bubble on any OYE Scholar page.
2. What we collect

3. How AI essay generation handles your data
When you generate an essay or parse a resume, the relevant text is sent to Anthropic (the Claude API) to produce your draft. We send only what is needed for that request. Per Anthropic's API terms, content sent through the API is not used to train their models. The generated essay is yours to use, edit, and submit.
The AI writes a draft based on what you give it. You should always review and edit your essay before submitting it to any scholarship. You are responsible for the accuracy and honesty of what you submit.
4. Who we share data with
We use a small set of trusted service providers to run OYE Scholar. We share only what each needs to do its job:
- Anthropic - AI essay and resume processing.
- Stripe - payment processing.
- Cloudflare - hosting, security, and storage of your account and saved scholarships.
- Resend - transactional email (receipts, password resets, account notices).
We do not sell your personal data, and we never will. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account data and saved scholarships for as long as your account is active. Short-lived technical data (such as daily usage counts) expires automatically within 24 hours. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.
6. Your rights
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct it if it is wrong.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Export the data you have given us.
To make any of these requests, contact us through the chat bubble on our site. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR (Europe) or the CCPA (California). We honor those rights for everyone.
7. Students and younger users
OYE Scholar is built for students pursuing scholarships, and is intended for users aged 13 and older. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Cookies
We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences and saved work. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email. Continued use of OYE Scholar after a change means you accept the updated policy.
